The Outpost Hotel Review: I Stayed At Singapore's Adults-Only Luxury Hotel!

by - April 06, 2020

So I previously blogged about some tips and trips you can use to get cheaper staycays in Singapore. Prior to writing that post, my boyfriend and I actually booked a beautiful staycation at The Outpost Hotel to make up for our cancelled Bintan trip. I did mentioned that I would update y'all regarding the stay, and the time has come to do that!

We booked a 2-night stay at their Deluxe Room (sea view) which cost $699.14 on Agoda, inclusive of taxes and GST. The hotel is also an adults-only hotel, and guests here have to be 21-years old and above. Talk about exclusive!

I guess that was one of the reasons why we chose this hotel for our getaway, because there won't be any noisy kids running around. Also, like it's name, it's literally at the outpost and is so remote, which makes it a great romantic getaway.

The Outpost Hotel is located at Sentosa, and there are 2 main ways to get there. The first way is via the Sentosa Express, and you can take it from VivoCity Station to Imbiah Station. The second way is to take the hotel's complimentary shuttle bus from VivoCity Lobby G Entrance (Level 1, in front of Paradise Teochew Restaurant). The shuttle bus comes at intervals of 30 minutes, starting from 8am all the way until 9.30pm.
We checked in at 3pm, and was given a bunch of free stuff before going to our rooms. Each room was entitled to 5 complimentary snacks/ drinks, with a wide selection such as chips, bottled Starbucks drinks, bottled juice, and chocolate. The staff were really nice and gave my boyfriend and I an extra bag of chips because we couldn't decide which flavour we wanted. We were also given free chocolates.
So we went up to our Deluxe sea view room on Level 6, and can we please talk. about. the. view!!!
I really liked our room and the aesthetic, which was monochrome, with glossy black marble and contrasting white decor. It was really minimalistic and cosy. The bed was heaven, and the sheets were so soft it felt like I was sinking into it every time I laid on it.
The toilet and shower were separate, and I was so excited when I saw that the toilet was the electronic Japanese kind with the bidet. There was also a rain shower! It was a bit weak, so I used the shower head most of the time. Also, the hair conditioner is really, really good and it makes your hair feel really smooth after a swim.
The room has most of the necessary amenities such as towels, toothbrush & toothpaste, a mini fridge, safe, and swimming robes. There's also an Espresso coffee machine which we absolutely LOVEDDDDD and used every morning. However, there were some things we needed that the room didn't have, such as cutlery and a hair dryer. It wasn't a problem because we just called the counter and they immediately sent whatever we needed up.

The TV doesn't have the Netflix app, but they have about 50??? channels which are pretty HD. There's also AirPlay for iOS and Miracast for Android, so you can do screen mirroring from your phone, which is cool beansssss.
There's also this special complimentary pillow mist thing that you can use to spray on your pillows for better sleep.

It's also worth mentioning that the service here is really, really good. The staff are really attentive to our needs and very friendly as well. They are also really fast at attending to requests! We also appreciated how they gave us "check-in" calls to see if everything was alright and if we needed anything. We ordered Grab Food a lot, and their staff would always pick the food up from the driver and have it sent straight up to our rooms.

The Outpost Hotel has 3 pools - 2 on Level 3 and 1 rooftop pool at Level 7. Are they infinity pools? Not really, but I guess they do have the vibe and all pools still look gorgeous.
Other facilities include the 1-V:U Restaurant & Day Cluba gym, and Pool Bar.
Hotel breakfast is served at the 1-V:U Restaurant, but we didn't opt for it because we're too lazy to even wake up for breakfast. But if you'd like, you can go and have breakfast there for about $40++ per person. The restaurant has ala carte dishes such as avocado toast and pancakes, as well as a buffet spread serving warm patisserie, congee, yogurt jars, fruits, etc.

So that was our staycay experience at The Outpost Hotel! I really loved the location (near the beach), service, and beautiful pools. On the other hand, the hotel is quite out of the way, but it isn't that difficult to get to anyway. I would definitely come back again the next time.
