Lost Queens Brand Ambassador Update #2: THEY ARE A SCAM!!!

by - April 05, 2017

I am utterly disappointed in this brand.

A few months ago, I happily announced on my blog that I was endorsed as the brand ambassador for Lost Queens, an online jewelry brand. Weeks later I received an exclusive email telling me that I was entitled to a huge discount off their exclusive brand ambassador collection. I paid $30 for a necklace, and waited 3 months but never received the item.

Initially, I didn't suspect the brand to be a total scam or anything of that sort - they were pretty established and they were no bad reviews on them. It just seemed like the management made a mistake in my order and decided to overlook the issue because I was an international brand ambassador. If I was a brand ambassador in the U.S, they would have attended to me ASAP.

It's now been 3 months since I've made the order and received nothing. I tried emailing Lost Queens about my order but there was no response. With this I take back what I said initially about them being prompt in replies - they only attend to customers who haven't made payment!

About a month ago, I succumbed to contacting the brand on Twitter; maybe the person in charge of emails had gone on maternity leave or got fired (???). I DM-ed the founder Eboni Merman and told her my issue. At first she was apologetic and very helpful, explaining that the delay was due to a backorder in the necklaces and asked if I could wait another week. I said yes.

2 weeks later, I still received nothing.

I sent her a DM again and said I wanted a refund since it's been 3 months and I didn't want to wait anymore. She told me to wait for 3-5 business days for an email with the instructions for the refund.

It's been a week and still, NOTHING.

I appreciate she's being very apologetic and polite, but your words mean nothing if you don't take action!

Now their brand name starts to make sense. They're LOST queens because they start MIA-ing right after you've made payment.

I honestly do feel bad about tarnishing their image and giving them a bad review, but my $30 is worth 5 venti Starbucks Caramel Macchiatos and I will not just stay silent when I've been taken advantage of. Until my issue has been properly resolved by Lost Queens, I will not endorse their brand any longer and strongly discourage international influencers from endorsing their brand.

It's not worth it.
