Perky Lash Bugis Eyelash Extensions Review
Now that we need to wear masks all day everyday, there's not much of a point putting on makeup since we're all covered up. Plus, the makeup always transfers onto the mask, leaving an imprint! But there IS one part of the face that is getting all the attention now - the eyes. So ladies, whip up your eyeshadow and eyeliners because there's no better time than now to show off our eyes! Some of us may not be makeup wizzes, so maybe you can even consider getting semi-permanent makeup, such as eyebrow embroidery or eyelash extensions!
I got my first ever eyelash extension 2 days ago at Perky Lash @ Bugis, sponsored by Perky Lash and Tropika Club. Tropika Club is a newly launched booking site with over 3,800 beauty, wellness and fitness services. As part of their mega launch on 28 July, Beauty Addicts can enjoy up to 30-50% off various services depending on the time of day.
When I first entered Perky Lash, I was amazed by how pretty the interior looked! The beauty parlour was neon themed and everything was a pretty pink from the couches to the lights. There's even a bar!
I never did eyelash extensions before, so I was quite nervous at first. I told the beautician that I've never done eyelash extensions, and she recommended me to get a "Gorgeous Unlimited" with 10-12mm D curls for a more obvious look. The Gorgeous lashes were made of single strands so it was one of the more natural designs as well. My lashes would also be longer towards the end.
The whole service lasted about 1 hour, and I fell asleep throughout thanks to the soothing acoustic music playing in the background. The process was comfortable, and there was only a small amount of "prickliness" sometimes when the fake lashes were placed onto my eyelids. Whatever was placed onto my eyes did not sting at all, but when I finally opened my eyes after the whole procedure was over, there WAS some dryness and my eyes felt a little sore. The feeling disappeared a few minutes later!
My eyelashes look gorgeous and really thick, and I'm really glad that the beauticians at Perky Lash did a flawless job. Look at how perky they are!
After the service I was also treated to a choice of mocktail or cocktail at the Perky Lash bar. The drink definitely left me refreshed after lying down for an hour!
Before leaving, I was told to keep my eyes away from water for 6 hours and not to touch my eyes. I was also given a cute little comb to brush my eyelashes once a day, first downwards and then upwards. It's been about 2 days and I haven't seen any lashes fall out, despite rubbing my eyes subconsciously a few times.
I love how having eyelash extensions make me look like I constantly have makeup on, so I don't need to put on makeup at all. The only thing I need to get used to is showering with my extensions because the eyelashes become some sort of water catchment and all the water collects there. It's quite funny.
I never really thought of myself as one to get eyelash extensions or falsies, but this was a pleasant experience and I adore my new look! Since the extensions are expected to last about 4 weeks, I may even consider going back to Perky Lash and getting me eyelash extensions 2.0 once they fall out.
You can make an appointment with Perky Lash via Tropika Club which will be launching on 28 June 2020. Do keep a lookout for more updates on the Tropika Club Facebook page as well!

Did you pay attention to what eyelashes extensions are made of? It was very important to me that they were vegan. I have the impression that beauty salons do not always provide this information. Only after you ask. I got expressive eyelash extensions because Russian volume lashes Bondi but I wanted my eyelashes to be vegan. And they are :)
