Hey friends! So with masks being the new norm, it seems like all our favourite makeup such as blushers or lipsticks may be going to waste. On the other hand, makeup products such as mascara and eyeliners have been getting popular because we still need to show our eyes in public!
I recently got the chance to try out this makeup band called dejavu. dejavu is an eyeliner and mascara brand which has been expanding internationally to provide women with affordable, scientifically advanced beauty products. So here is a review of the dejavu products!
dejavu Mascara
dejavu Fiberwig Ultra Long Mascara Pure Black
The Fiberwig Ultra Long Mascara Pure Black (S$24) is suitable for everyday use, and lasts up to 24 hours! I like how this mascara added a lot of length to my lashes. The Extra Lengthening Brush is pretty unique as it is curved and contains very short and dense bristles that captures every lash and adds lavish amounts of fiber to them while thoroughly separating for a clump-free look.
Application-wise, I swiped about three to four times for the look to really come out - which I appreciate. I like how the look is a little subtler and it was up to me to up the look by adding more product.
dejavu Lash Knockout Extra Volume Mascara Dynamite Black
The Lash Knockout Extra Volume Mascara Dynamite Black (S$24) is my favourite because besides length, it also adds volume and body. Most importantly, it was not clumpy at all! It was also really easy to apply and you could see the instant results.
The formula felt a little heavy for me, but I understand that it's normal for mascara to feel like this. It took me about two swipes to really get the product in, which is impressive!
dejavu Keep Style S Mascara Jet Black
The Keep Style S Mascara Jet Black (S$24) is meant to curl your lashes and keep them locked the whole day! This one was a little bit clumpy, but I managed to get the clumps away with some tissue. It also doesn't do much for length, but my eyelashes are already quite long so I didn't mind just having an emphasis on the curls.
Visually, the three mascaras look quite similar but they feel rather different upon application. The Fiberwig Ultra Long Mascara Pure Black has the simplest look compared to the other two since it brings out length in a natural way, and I can see myself using this one on a daily basis.
