Hey, Faithfuls! I recently had the chance to explore DGA Threads, an understated yet remarkable fashion brand that’s quickly building a reputation for unique, handcrafted garments in Singapore. Founded by Pino, a retired Italian banker with a deep love for vintage textiles, DGA Threads brings the elegance of Japanese and Indian vintage fabrics into the modern wardrobe. Every item is handmade and uniquely crafted, blending luxurious silk and vibrant vintage fabrics with a meticulous eye for detail.

Stepping into their cosy studio in Tiong Bahru, I immediately felt the brand's dedication to high-quality craftsmanship. Pino’s passion shines through every piece, from structured bolero jackets and belts to beautifully stitched handbags and their standout Cotton Patchwork 4-way Jacket.

Each fabric is handpicked, with patterns and textures that complement and highlight the unique heritage of vintage kimono and sari textiles. DGA Threads expertly combines these fabrics, carefully matching them to ensure each piece tells its own story.

I tried on their maroon Haori jacket, a piece that struck the perfect balance between style and comfort. Despite my petite frame, the fit was seamless, highlighting just how thoughtfully these garments are tailored. The jacket’s lightweight silk fabric and bold colour made it a standout, versatile enough for both casual and formal settings. It’s rare to find something that feels so personal and fitted yet timeless in style.

I was also impressed by how lightweight the fabric is, making it suitable for Singapore's humid weather.
