Hey, Faithfuls! If you ask me which cafe in Singapore serves some of the most solid food and drinks, I’d say without hesitation—Cafe Manna. It had been a while since my last visit, so I was thrilled when their lovely team invited me over to try their International Women’s Day, AKA IWD High Tea Set.

Located at Mount Sophia inside The Secret Haven, Cafe Manna is a collaborative effort between Cafe Manna and am coffee co. Getting there requires a bit of effort—you’ll need to walk about 10 minutes from Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station, including a rather long flight of stairs. But trust me, the climb is suuuuper worth it!

Priced at S$58++ for two people, Cafe Manna’s high tea set features a mix of sweet and savoury treats. It may not be the most elaborate or fancy spread, but everything is thoughtfully prepared and full of flavour.

Out of the 11 different items we tried, some truly stood out, including the Raisin Scones, which were fluffy and buttery with just the right hint of sweetness from the raisins. This paired perfectly with their clotted cream and jam!

I usually don't enjoy financiers, but I loved the ones here. Cafe Manna's Financier was a delicate little almond cake that was subtly sweet and had an amazing buttery aroma. The texture was soft with a slight crispness on the edge too!

I also surprisingly enjoyed their simple Smoked Chicken Sandwich! The bread was soft yet slightly chewy, and the smoked chicken filling was packed with flavour, well-seasoned, and tender.

FYI, the high tea set includes two complimentary drinks, and of course, we had to try their International Women’s Day specials: IWD Specialty Strawberry Matcha and IWD Specialty Blackforest Mocha.

The former was a well-balanced, layered drink where the matcha’s earthiness complemented the sweet, slightly tangy strawberry. The latter was our unanimous fave. This featured rich, chocolatey mocha with just the right amount of sweetness, and a bold coffee kick with notes of sweet plum and black tea.

If you’re looking for a cosy café with great food and drinks, Cafe Manna is definitely one to check out. Their International Women’s Day High Tea Set is a limited-time offering, so grab your bestie and head over before it’s gone!

Thanks for reading, and see you next post!
