Studio M Staycation Review: Studio Loft

by - August 17, 2021

Hey friends! Welcome to another staycation review and this time it's for Studio M! I actually had a staycation at Studio M quite a while back - even before the one at M Social - but felt that I should write about this experience too because for some reason Studio M doesn't seem to be as popular although I had a much better time there.

This blog post is gonna be a shorter one because I can't really remember all the details of the stay but I will try my best to put in as much information as I can!

I booked a stay at Studio M via their website for S$211.86/night. It was for Valentine's Day, so the prices were expected to be a little higher than usual! We checked in around 3pm on the day and were greeted by this delivery robot (similar to the YOTEL one) which gave us some sweets!

We reached our room which was the Studio Loft, and it was so pretty! Although the layout is almost the same as M Social's, our Studio Loft was so much brighter and more vibrant. I also like how you need to go through two doors to enter the room - the first one is the main door, and then once you enter, there's like this bomb shelter-like area with a second door which finally leads to the room. I think this second door just makes everything a little more soundproof which I like.

The room has all the amenities you need such as a cooler fridge, safe, wattle bottles (which are replenished daily), coffee and tea making facilities, and bathrobes. There are also so many storage spaces - under the bed, under the stairs, and beside the windowsill.

The bathroom was rather clean but a little cramped. If my boyfriend was showering and I was peeing outside, I'll probably need to move out of the way when he comes out or he won't be able to exit. That's how small it was.

After taking all our pictures for the gram, we walked around the hotel to explore the facilities. The first place we went to was the open-air tropical deck which had many reflection pools and a long lap pool

This area is not very high up, so the view from the swimming pool is pretty meh but it's still a nice place to hang out.

Here there was also a small arcade where you can play darts for a fee!

We also went to visit the gym which is open-air, spacious, and had lots of equipment.

If hunger pangs strike at night, there's a small convenience store beside the lobby where you can grab a few cup noodles or chips. There is a dining area when you walk further in called Memo, but it was unfortunately closed when we were there. Judging by the pictures, it looks like a pleasant place to dine in.

We only stayed for one night which I felt was enough to explore everything Studio M had to offer. Studio M is a perfect place to have a simple staycation, and the rooms are pleasant with extremely comfortable beds! Facilities and amenities are also ample and the staff was generally nice. Another plus point is that Studio M is less crowded than M Social so you and your S/O can have all the peace, quiet, and privacy to yourselves.

Thanks for reading y'all, and see you next post!
