'Stay Yo Way Staycation Package Review At YOTEL Singapore

yotel-staycation-review

Hey friends!

It's time for another hotel review - and this time it's a YOTEL staycation! Am really excited because I've heard of YOTEL before and see it all the time when passing by Orchard Road, but never got the chance to stay there.

It's been getting quite popular again because the rooms are very affordable - at about S$100++/night - so most people are using their SingapoRediscovers vouchers. There is also a YOTEL promotion going on now until May 2021, so jot down the deets for a perfect midweek getaway!

The 'Stay Yo Way! package

I'm actually here for the YOTEL 'Stay Yo Way! package, which comes in two options:

Stay Yo Way! - Double Up: enjoy your second consecutive night for free

First night starts from S$150++ per night and you get the second night free. You also get late check-out at 2pm and will get a Robot Plushie gift at check-in, subject to availability.

Stay Yo Way! - Live It Up: enjoy S$150++ dining credit per day for Komyuniti

Overnight accommodation starts from $150++ per night and receive S$150++ dining credits per stay for Komyuniti - applicable for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You also get late check-out at 2pm and will get a Robot Plushie gift at check-in, subject to availability.

Both packages are only available from Sundays to Thursdays from now until 27 May 2021 at YOTEL Singapore Orchard Road. Pay upon arrival. Offers ends on 27 May 2021, and black-out dates apply (13 May 2021).

Premium Queen Cabin

We stayed in YOTEL's Premium Queen Cabin, a cosy room perfect for two. It came with a queen-sized adjustable smart bed, free WiFi, a small workspace and a separate shower. I was a little bummed that there was no view, but I opened the door to the shower and there it was - a gorgeous city view from 18 stories high.

I found it pretty amusing that the shower is right beside this floor-to-ceiling window. Granted, you can close the blinds for privacy, but there's that little feeling where I wish I could shower with this gorgeous view in front of me. HAHA!

The room has basic amenities such as a mini-fridge, safe, water heater, and TV. It was also very clean and minimalist, with lots of white and hints of YOTEL's signature purple.

YOTEL facilities

YOTEL does have a pool and a gym. As my stay was on a weekday, it was really nice to have the place all to myself! Due to Covid, you will have to make a booking for the pool and gym.

YOTEL also has a restaurant called Komyuniti, and it's a hidden gem! You can actually eat here and work or study here. There are charging ports everywhere and chill music playing for extra focus. The best part is nobody will chase you away for studying or doing work!

Latest update: came back here a few months later and they’ve changed their policy and no longer allow members of the public to do work or study here. Like, a complete 180 degree change from what was told to me previously. Am really disappointed, but it is what it is.

The food and beverage prices are quite reasonable too - starting from S$10 for Bibimbap and S$6 for a cup of iced latte.

Komyuniti is also known for having superb cocktails, and we tried almost everything on the drinks menu. The drinks were really unique and exquisite. Also really appreciate their Happy Hour deals - they have Ladies' Nights on Wednesdays, one pint of beer for S$8++ on Thursdays, 1-for-1 deals on Fridays, and more!

Breakfast is also served here at Komyuniti and runs from 6.30-10.30am. Breakfast is a one-time serve, and you can choose what you want to eat from a menu. The meals were pretty simple such as the English Breakfast and Eggs Benedict but were rather filling.

Also, did you know about the adorable YOTEL robots? If you want to get a chance to meet them, order room service! If not, you can also go down to the lobby to say hello.
