Hey friends! I'm a lover of brunch and I love sourcing out great brunch places because they're usually really aesthetic and have great food too. My most recent find is Nassim Hill @ Killiney, a hidden brunch cafe at Somerset, Orchard. I've actually walked past this cafe numerous times without knowing that there was a cafe there because it's actually located on the second floor of the KPO building. Imagine my amazement when I realised that you can eat there!

We made a reservation via Chope for a dining slot at 2pm. Do take note that Nassim Hill @ Killiney is only open until 3pm!

There are two distinct areas at Nassim Hill @ Killiney - one is the 'inside' part which is darker, more intimate, and looks like a bar.

On the other hand, the 'outside' part looks like a greenhouse. We sat at the greenhouse part, which was brighter and had lots of plants!

The first item we ordered was the Personal Truffle Pizza (S$14) with truffle paste, chives, and quail eggs. The pizza crust was very thin and crispy, and I absolutely loved the truffle. You could literally smell it upon arrival and the taste was distinct as well. I also liked the egg on top as it made everything very creamy and gooey!

The second item we ordered was the Penne Chicken Rosa (S$16) which had grilled chicken, mushrooms, and creamy tomato sauce. The pasta was extremely flavourful and the grilled chicken came in relatively thick chunks. It may not look like a lot at first glance, but the pasta was very filling.

We also ordered a Poutine (S$13) which was fries, minced beef, and mozzarella cheese. The fries tasted so-so but I really liked the minced beef and mozzarella cheese which came in a generous amount! The Poutine dish itself was quite big and could almost pass as a main dish. This made for a very good appetizer but we actually ate it last.

For drinks, we ordered a Latte (S$8) and Apple Juice (S$5). The Latte was not the most spectacular but still decent, and the juice tasted like those you'd get on an SQ flight - which is my favourite kind of juice LOL!

Nassim Hill @ Killiney is a nice place to come and have brunch, especially if you like places that are relatively quiet, intimate and sort of like a hidden gem. The food is not the most fantastic but I still liked it and thought that the prices were reasonable. It's a really nice place to just chill and have a simple brunch before heading for your shopping spree at Orchard Road.
