Bali On The Cove @ Sentosa Cove: Balinese Cafe Food Review
Hey friends! Apparently, we're allowed to travel to certain countries now - and if you're a travel junkie but can't afford the crazy expensive flight tickets, you'll be glad to know that I found a cafe in Singapore that will make you feel like you're overseas! I love Bali as it's a place full of great food and amazing beaches, plus it was also me and my boyfriend's first trip together overseas. The cafe I'm talking about is called Bali On The Cove, and it's located at Sentosa Cove.
Bali On The Cove was quite crowded on the inside when we were there and the seats outside were relatively empty since it's the rainy season, but I liked the outdoor seats because it was so windy and cold!
There's also a nice workspace and boutique beside the restaurant where they sell lots of handicrafts. The prices are super expensive though!

Let's jump right into the food! I got myself the Rack Of Ribs (S$26), which was slow-cooked pork ribs with sweet potato fries and house salad. The ribs were soooooo soft and slid off the bone, but it was a little salty for my liking. The sweet potato fries definitely stole the show and they were tasty without being oily. Overall it was a great dish with moderately strong flavours, although I would have liked more sauces and gravy!

We also got two Bali Bowls - the Pulled Chicken (S$23) and BBQ Pork (S$24). The Pulled Chicken was alright, nothing spectacular and definitely tasted like a healthy dish, but the BBQ Pork was fantastic! What I found super interesting about the Bali Bowls were that they were both cold dishes.

Our base for the BBQ Pork was the zucchini noodles, and the toppings were the feta guacamole, ratatouille, and coriander hummus. I know this doesn't sound the most appetizing, but trust me, it was! The toppings made everything very creamy, and the zucchini noodles were literally zucchini shaped like noodles. The whole bowl tasted very refreshing, clean, and healthy, and was also very filling!

We also ordered the Big Bali (S$27) which is basically an English breakfast. It had eggs, sausage, bacon, mushroom, kale, and sourdough - which we requested to come separately. The Big Bali came in a big plate! Everything tasted good, but the especially good ingredients were the sourdough and sausage. The mushrooms were a little oily, but still delicious.

My boyfriend also ordered an Iced Latte (S$6.50) which was incredibly smooth and had a subtle, bitter taste. It was also on the stronger side, and I liked how it was not acidic.

My lunch at Bali On The Cove was really pleasant and the food is not bad. The prices are also relatively affordable and reasonable since the portions are huge! The menu may appeal more to people who like healthy foods, so those who prefer fried or oily food may not really enjoy this. I also recommend trying the Bali Bowls on a hot day as it is a refreshing dish that may not be the most suitable on a rainy afternoon.
I also love the ambience at Bali On The Cove as it temporarily transports you to another country! I wouldn't mind coming here on a less-crowded weekday, and just chill, and enjoy their coffee.
That's it for today's post, thanks for reading and see you next post!
