The Feather Blade Review: Cheap Steakhouse @ East Coast
Renowned for their reasonably priced yet top-quality steaks, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to indulge in a tasting session at The Feather Blade. Our lunch began with their iconic Steak & Eggs (S$28)—a succulent 200g Feather Blade steak accompanied by a sunny-side-up, served with Sansho Peppercorn sauce. The steak, lightly seasoned to preserve its natural flavour, paired exquisitely with the tangy peppercorn sauce.
We also had their Mentaiko Cheesy Egg (S$23) sando. This featured buttered brioche toast, a side of house salad, and triple-cooked Wagyu Beef Fat Fries. The lusciously runny egg, combined with the sweet creaminess of the egg mayo, the salty richness of the mentaiko roe, and the smoky notes from the cheese, created an explosion of flavours that blended harmoniously well together.
In addition to their stellar steak offerings, The Feather Blade also offers rice bowls, showcasing sushi-grade rice cooked with kombu and dashi. We relished the Feather Blade (S$18), featuring tender Feather Blade Yakiniku, accompanied by an onsen egg, furikake, crispy roasted garlic, and a garnish of spring onions and chilli threads for a touch of heat.
Consistently delivering exceptional food and ambience, The Feather Blade has earned its spot among my top favourite restaurants in Singapore. Their commitment to offering affordability without compromising on quality is truly commendable, and it's no wonder they remain a standout choice for dining experiences.
