Hey, Faithfuls! Welcome to another cafe review, and this time I'm reviewing a new, pretty cafe in Clementi! Recently, my friend and I decided to WFH from a cafe and since, she’s always trekking to the east to meet me, his time, I decided to head west to her instead.

She recommended Monday Coffee Bar, a cosy under-HDB cafe located in NorthArc, Clementi. With its welcoming ambience and wallet-friendly menu, it was really the perfect spot for a productive yet laid-back Monday.

Honestly, Monday Coffee Bar feels like an extension of someone’s living room. The seating ranges from big tables perfect for family gatherings (it's almost giving CNY reunion vibes) to smaller sofas, counter seats with charging ports, and a gelato counter. The cafe also offers space rental for private events!

Monday Coffee Bar offers daily brunch deals from 11am to 3pm, making it quite popular during lunchtime. Most customers seemed like regulars from the area, and they were also students scattered around working on laptops.

For something light, try the Prawn Sandwich (S$7.50), the most affordable brunch item on the menu. If you are a big eater, opt for the Daily Breakfast Set (S$20),which is the priciest but heartiest choice. My friend opted for the Smoked Salmon (S$8) sandwich, featuring cream cheese and thinly sliced Japanese cucumbers—a simple, homemade-style dish that does it job, even though I felt like I could've assembled this at home.

I chose the Roasted Chicken (S$10.50) sandwich, with oven-baked chicken breast, fresh purple cabbage, and maple sauce on brioche toast, served with chips. The portion was decent and satisfying, especially considering the price point.

If you’re visiting after 3pm, you can try their mains, which are all priced under S$20. I tried the Sweet Potato Gnocchi (S$14.80), which was really creamy, although was gnocchi was a bit too mushy for my liking. The zucchini was defo a lovely, crunchy touch.

For their dinner mains, I found the flavours to be great, but portions to be on the small side. That's the opposite of their lunch items, which have heartier portions, but taste mid.

For drinks, their hand-ground Vietnamese coffee offers a unique twist, which my friend had. It was on the sweet side, like most Vietnamese coffee are, and I really liked it!

Later in the day, I went with the Iced Genmaicha Latte (S$6). While the presentation was lovely, the taste leaned too milky for me. If you prefer bolder earthy notes, consider ordering it hot.

We ended up staying from 11am until nearly 5pm. While it gets lively during lunch, the cafe does quieten down in the afternoon. Plus, it stays open until 9:30pm, so you can consider coming here for an after-dinner dessert stop.

Would I travel an hour again just to WFH here? Hell yeah. Thanks for reading, and see you next post!
