Hey, Faithfuls! Whenever I travel, I generally look for hotels that feel more than just a place to sleep cos I want something memorable. And honestly, Regent Taipei really delivered during my most recent trip to Taipei. It’s easily one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in Taipei. Super spacious, luxurious, and filled with thoughtful details that made me feel pampered the entire stay.
Regent Taipei review
Regent Taipei is massive! With over 500 rooms (including suites and balcony rooms), it feels grand but never impersonal. The moment I checked in, I already noticed how the staff were both professional and warm, setting the tone for my stay. There are literally staff members located at every corner of the lobby, ready to assist you if you need anything. There's even a guy stationed near a step to remind you to keep a lookout so you don't trip.
And here’s a detail I found super cute—the room key wasn’t the usual flimsy keycard but an actual, heavy metal key. The staff said it’s meant to feel like coming home. I have to admit, carrying around a chunky key felt strangely comforting (and honestly, hard to lose).
Tai Pan King Room
The room itself was spacious and elegant, with all the luxuries you’d expect: a big executive desk, marble bathroom with a tub and separate shower, feather duvet, pillow menu (?!), and even a hydro-cleansing toilet. It was the kind of room that makes you want to just stay in all day, which is great if you're feeling too lazy to go out.
When I first walked in, I was also greeted with a beautiful spread of local Taiwanese snacks, fresh fruit, and sparkling Oriental Beauty Oolong tea!
Look at this fantastic variety of snacks. I couldn't finish them during my stay, so I had to bring some back to Singapore.
As for the sparkling tea, I love that it has a champagne-like taste, but without the alcohol, which feels so refreshing.
In case you're wondering, this is my view from the hotel room. I wish I had a proper view of Taipei 101, though! I could see it in the distance, and it's gorgeous at night, but I have to sit on the sofa from a certain angle to be able to see it.
If you wanna make yourself a cuppa, you can do so with the Nespresso machine that's available inside the room. The room also comes with tea packets and the like.
The bathroom came with a tub, a separate shower, and a toilet with a bidet. Also, love that the shower comes with a loofah!!
And later at night, I even got a full whiskey on the rocks as part of their turndown service, which really shows that their service goes the extra mile. Speaking of service, Regent Taipei also offers 24-hour butler service that you can utilise! This really embodies the brand’s core value: to serve as we would like to be served (將心比心、待人如己).
Facilities at Regent Taipei
The individual spa room itself was huge, with its own shower, sauna, tub, and even a view of Taipei 101. I had a private wellness suite. The massage was so relaxing that I actually fell asleep for most of the 1.5 hours.
After the spa, I was even served some refreshments and light Taiwanese snacks. I felt super pampered for sure.
In addition to the spa, Regent Taipei hotel offers a range of world-class facilities, including a heated rooftop pool. Their views here are just so-so, but the pool is still nice enough to spend some time sun tanning.
Regent Taipei also features a gym where you can attend yoga and fitness classes. But if your idea of fitness is window-shopping, consider strolling around The Regent Galleria, the largest shopping centre in Taipei, which offers a range of upscale luxury brand shops like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Dior.
We actually spent a lot of time in Louis Vuitton and got a personalised luggage tag stamp!
Business travellers can also take advantage of the Tai Pan Residence & Club, which offers meeting rooms, pressing services, and a quiet lounge space.

Food at Regent Taipei
BTW, Regent Taipei is renowned for its diverse dining options, boasting a total of NINE restaurants. I didn’t manage to try them all, but the ones I did were impressive! Also, you have to try their iconic beef noodles while you're here. Fun fact: CNN even named them “Taipei’s Best Beef Noodles”!
A standout was dinner at Robin’s Teppanyaki. The chefs there really put on a show, cooking premium ingredients right in front of you. I went for the US Prime Filet Mignon and Penghu Lobster, and it was one of the best teppanyaki meals I’ve ever had. The chef even introduced all the fresh ingredients before cooking, AND THE LOBSTERS WERE STILL ALIVE AND KICKING. That's how fresh everything was.
I also checked out The Brasserie's buffet breakfast, and it was probably the biggest hotel buffet I’ve ever seen. On weekends, the queue was so long it looked like people were queuing for the new iPhone.
But once you get in, you’ll see why. From fresh seafood to made-to-order counters, international dishes, and a dessert spread that rivals a patisserie, it’s almost overwhelming—but in the best way.
Overlooking azie is The Gallery, which serves light meals and cakes throughout the day. We also had their sustainable brunch here!
Regent Taipei partnered with a Michelin Green Star restaurant to create a sustainable brunch menu that showcases Taiwan’s finest local produce while actively reducing food waste. Each main course (I had lobster!) comes with fresh juice and access to a salad bar spotlighting regional ingredients.
While not inside the hotel itself, I also want to give a shoutout to Silks Palace (part of the same group), which is right by the National Palace Museum.

This blog post is a media trip review.
The experience was elevated by a roving cart serving paper-thin slices of Iberico ham with honeydew and a drizzle of balsamic vinaigrette.
Another highlight inside Regent Taipei is Silks House, a refined restaurant that showcases the best of Chinese cuisine.
Their menu blends neo-Sichuan and Cantonese delicacies with a touch of modern elegance. The space itself is beautifully designed, combining the graceful flow of Chinese calligraphy with contemporary interiors.

The restaurant serves dishes inspired by the museum’s most famous art pieces, such as edible versions of the jadeite cabbage statue and pork-shaped stone.
We even got to DIY and paint our own red bean buns, which was such a fun touch!
Stay at Regent Taipei
Regent Taipei is a hotel that seamlessly blends classic luxury with thoughtful modern touches. From the heavy “house key” to the whiskey turndown service, everything feels a little extra, but in the best way possible!
