AIR CCCC Review: Restaurant with Sustainable Lunch Sets & Outdoor Picnic Vibes @ Dempsey

Hey, Faithfuls! I’ve been wanting to visit this super popular restaurant called AIR CCCC for the longest time. I kept hearing that the food was great but also SO expensive, so when I got my measely bonus from work, I told myself: it may be small, but I’m still going to treat myself.

I was already in the area for Nowhere Baths, and after sweating it out, I was starving. So I figured ... this is the moment.

AIR CCCC is located in Dempsey, near Samy’s Curry Restaurant and Long Beach Seafood Restaurant. The nearest MRT station is Orchard Boulevard, about a 20-minute walk or a 12-minute bus ride away.
Once you reach the area, look out for the long, winding wooden walkway. It honestly feels like you’re walking through a mini forest. Just keep going, and I promise you’ll see the restaurant at the end.

AIR CCCC is most known for its aesthetic lawn. You can lay out mats and enjoy picnic baskets and drinks from the bar, or sit on rainbow-hued cushions along the steps. It’s very laid-back, very lifestyle-core, very Instagram.

That said… Singapore weather, SO if you choose to sit indoors, the interior is just as nice. The first-floor dining area has rectangular wooden tables and floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlooking the lawn.

It’s bright and also makes for really nice photos.

I went ahead and got their Lunch Set (S$58), which comes with a starter and main. If you want dessert, that'll be S$68 total. To start, I had the Ceviche of Local Mahi Mahi, which featured pink guava, watermelon radish, and garden herbs. It’s part of the new menu by Chef Part Nongnuch, and I found the to be light, refreshing and vibrant. The fish was lightly cured and delicate, balanced by the sweetness of the pink guava and the crunch from the radish.

For my main, I had the Kampong Chicken from Ng Ai, served with tropical coleslaw and smoked chilli oil. This was genuinely delicious. The chicken was grilled and smoky, tender and juicy, and every forkful released juices. The smoked chilli oil added a gentle heat without overpowering the dish, and the tropical slaw kept things fresh and balanced.

But sis, the portion. It was on the small side for sure. I was already hungry from my bath session earlier, and this honestly felt like an appetiser to me.

Honestly, the lunch was lovely. The food is well-executed and the ambience is amazing, but after GST and service charge, I spent almost S$70 for two courses. Is it worth it? Honestly ... not really, if you’re judging purely on food quantity and value. You can definitely get equally good food elsewhere for less.

But if you’re going for the vibes, the aesthetic lawn, a special occasion, or you’re feeling rich and celebratory, then yes, it makes sense. I guess?

Thanks for reading, and see you next post!
