overeasy-one-fullerton-review

Hey friends! It was my boyfriend's birthday last month so aside from celebrating with a staycation at The Fullerton Hotel, we also wanted to treat our tummies to some yummies. One of our favourite restaurants to eat at is called OverEasy, and it's located at One Fullerton. It has this retro, 80s diner slash Riverdale vibes to it, and it's also BLUE - my favourite colour! Most importantly, the food there looks as good as it looks.

In the morning, OverEasy is a good place to have a solid good meal, but people come here for drinks too. There's also a nice outdoor area with fairy lights, and it overlooks the Singapore River.

Since Singapore is only in Phase 2 we can only eat in twos but once things open up, you can book one of their cosy table booths to chillax with your squad!

Look how photogenic everything is - literally every corner is an Instagrammable backdrop. There's even this arcade machine for you to keep yourself entertained while waiting for the food to come.

Even the toilet looks like it belongs on Tumblr.

We always order the same thing, which is The To-Die-For Burger (S$26) with Signature Wagyu chuck blend patty, Swiss cheese, potato bun, sauteed onions and mushrooms, and truffle mayo, as well as the Good Ol' Fashioned Mac & Cheese (S$14).

The burger is hearty as usual and the patty is always juicy - so much that it's a mess and drips all over just the way we like it. The portion is really large and may be difficult to finish once 80% of it is in your stomach. Whatever you do, don't start with the fries because the truffle is SO GOOD and you may not have space left for the burger later.

Also, don't underestimate the Mac & Cheese - it's really, really filling and superbly cheesy and delicious. While it's considered a snack under the menu, I consider it a full dish. Can get pretty jelak towards the end, but cleanse your palate every now and then and you're good to dig in again.

For drinks we always get their milkshakes and this time we got the Oreo Milkshake (S$12). Their milkshakes are seriously the real thing - super thick, super sweet, and super filling. No one bothered to water it down at all, and we love it!

I also wanted to try their cocktails, so I ordered the Strawberry Fields Mojito (S$19) which had dark rum, fresh strawberries, mint, basil, and citrus. It was perfectly refreshing for such a hot day and was quite strong too since I felt a little bit woozy after drinking it all.

OverEasy is seriously a gem and so far it's mostly visited by the working crowd or those who frequent the area. It's nice to have a place that's considered a hidden gem and is not very crowded for us to eat at, but we do think it deserves more publicity! If you find yourself at One Fullerton, do give OverEasy a try.

Till then, see you next post.
