So funny story, I actually had to change my reservation at 1-Atico twice - once because something came up and the second time, because the restaurant was booked for an event. So apparently if some random couple suddenly decides to book their wedding reception here and indirectly eff up your plans, the restaurant will ask you to change your dates. Speaking of reservations, please make one ASAP! My boyfriend and I actually found ourselves in the area and wanted to see if we could get a seat, and when we went to 1-Atico, we were told they were fully booked for at least a month. We made our first reservation with them on the spot.

You also can request a window seat but it's subject to availability. You will definitely want to request a window seat though because you get to see the entire stretch of Orchard Road from here!

We ordered the High Tea Set 'For Two' which was S$28/person without tax. Do note that this high tea set is only available from 3pm-6pm! The savoury items include a spinach portobello quiche, crab mayo mini croissant, as well as a chicken, avocado and mayo finger sandwich. My favourites were the croissant and sandwich, and even though they looked very simple, they were very delicious.

For sweets, we had a mini lemon white chocolate brownie, mini eclairs, scones with cream and jam, macaroons, and a white chocolate ispahan canele. The macaroons and scones really surprised me because I actually don't generally like these desserts. However, the ones here were not too sweet and really soft too.

The high tea set includes a choice of tea or coffee. We got a latte and a pot of chamomile tea.

1-Atico is really a hidden gem and I'm surprised not many people know of this place - at least among my circle of friends. The high tea was great and relatively affordable compared to other places, and the environment was relaxing and nice. The staff were very attentive as well and didn't pressure us to leave even though we sat there for a few hours, even after high tea was over.

Next time you're looking for a good high tea place, give 1-Atico a try! You will definitely not regret it. See you next post!
