Hey, Faithfuls! Welcome to another blog post and today I will be reviewing this beautiful French brasserie called Clos Pasoh, located along Bukit Pasoh at Outram. French cafes and restaurants seem to be all the rage now with so many new places popping up, but after visiting most of them, I found Clos Pasoh to be one of my favourites when it comes to dessert.

I would recommend you to come to Clos Pasoh during lunch on weekdays, as they have a special lunch menu offering a two-course meal at S$42, and a three-course meal at S$49. However, my boyfriend and I are usually not free on weekday afternoons, so we could only come on a weekend. We were craving desserts, so that's what we had while we were there!

Clos Pasoh is absolutely gorgeous. Stepping inside, it's like you're whisked off to France for a brief moment with the emerald sofas and rattan chairs. The interior is dimly lit, making the restaurant look posy, but also extremely cosy.

We requested seats on the balcony because I wanted a nice view and some privacy with my boyfriend. We were the only customers seated there that afternoon as there was a slight drizzle, but I enjoyed the pitter-patter of the rain and soft rumbling of thunder in the distance. The view was amazing as well.

As I was craving chocolate, I ordered the Mousse Au Chocolat (S$15) which was a chocolate mousse with Guanaja dark chocolate. I was quite surprised when the dessert came because it was in a larger portion than I expected! The chocolate mousse was quite sweet, but you could balance out that sweetness by dipping this crunchy, biscuit-like bread thing (?) into it.

My boyfriend got the Petit Pot De Créme Vanille & Caramel Buerre Salé (S$15), a vanilla custard pot with salted butter caramel. This dessert was served in a big bowl! The caramel was very sweet and distinct, and the texture was super soft and melted in your mouth. By the way, this dessert is gluten-free!

We were also given these complimentary liquor-infused puffs by the chef, which were very delicious. Unfortunately, I can't remember what they were called, but here are some pictures below for reference!

For drinks, I got myself the Negroni (S$18), an orange-coloured cocktail that had some fruity sweetness and a hint of bitterness. It was a very refreshing cocktail and was the perfect drink to pair with the sweet desserts.

My boyfriend got himself two glasses of the Café Latte (S$6). Although Clos Pasoh does not specialise in coffee, the latte was really good! It was strong and creamy, and not overly sweet.

It is a bummer that we could only come down for high tea, but I highly recommend you to check out their lunch and dinner menu. The restaurant has lots of positive reviews as well, and many bloggers have given Clos Pasoh's food rave reviews. The staff were really friendly as well; the waiters would occasionally come out to the balcony to check on us and ask if everything was alright. We really appreciated their service!

I understand that this blog post only covers the desserts, but I hope to try out their lunch or dinner menu in the future, and when I do so, I will definitely update you guys again! Thanks for reading, and see you next post.
