Levant Bar @ Tanjong Pagar: Hidden Rooftop Bar Review
Hey, Faithfuls! If you're here, you're probably looking for a nice rooftop bar in Singapore and wondering if this place is worth a visit. You've come to the right place because today I will be doing a review on Levant Bar located at Tanjong Pagar. I actually came across this place because it was featured by another publication, and thought that it was more unique than the typical rooftop bars with views of the Singapore River or MBS. Personally, I enjoy rooftop views of Tanjong Pagar and Chinatown more.
When I made the reservation on Chope, I also requested to have a seat with a view, if possible. The staff kindly fulfilled our request and we got a table with unrivalled views of Pinnacle@Duxton.
We don't have a lot of experience with Mediterranean food, so we asked the staff for recommendations. Our first recommended dish was the Whitebait Fish Fries (S$18) which came in deep-fried strips and a smoky harissa yoghurt dip.
Our second dish was the Fried Calamari (S$18) with coriander and saffron aioli. It looked similar to the fish fries but had a darker golden yellow.
My personal favourite of the night was the Baked Cheese (S$22) with pomegranate molasses, pumpkin seed dukkah, and pita bread. The pita bread was soft and fluffy and paired well with the piping hot baked cheese. The cheese tends to harden really quickly and becomes a little rubbery after sitting too long, so be sure to dig in right away!
We also got the 8-Spice Beef Burger (S$19) with turmeric butter buns and coriander shawarma. The burger was neatly sliced in half for us to share when served. The patty was extremely juicy and I loved the sauce with a tinge of spiciness.

Both of us were feeling festive, so we ordered a whole bottle of 2019 Kris Pinot Grigio (S$78). The wine was very easy to drink with a nice scent and light citrus notes.
I really wanted to stay longer at Levant Bar, but unfortunately, we had to give up our table for the next reservation at 8.30pm. It felt like our experience here was quite rushed, so I would love to come again (maybe on a weekday night?) and take my time here. It's highly recommended that you book your reservation in advance and come during the sunset - I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself as much as I did.
Thanks for reading, and see you next post.
