Sweet Craftsman @ Kallang: Fuji Swiss Rolls Food Review
The Tieguanyin Fujiro (S$7.80) was one of our favourites, with a strong oolong flavour. The swiss rolls were incredibly soft and moist.
The one I loved the most was the Goma with Kuromame Pudding (S$7.80). It's basically a black sesame swiss roll with black bean pudding.
The Yuzu Orange Meringue (S$7.80) was recommended to us by the owner, and it's a good thing he did. This one included bits of meringue and sponge, as well as orange. I loved the zestiness of this swiss roll and the little bits of orange that were fun to chew.
The owner served us a free slice of Taro Cream Cake (S$7.80), and although I'm not a fan of taro, I really liked it. The taro was not too strong and overpowering, and you could visually see how fluffy the cake was - everyone gasped when I sliced into it.
We were also given some Assorted Macarons (S$3.80) to try, and while they were sweet (as macrons are supposed to be), the sweetness wasn't overbearing and I liked its slight crunch and chewy texture.
Sweet Craftsman's delicious swiss rolls are also available online, and you can order them via their website. Unfortunately, we heard that they may be ending operations at the end of 2022, so be sure to make a trip down when you still can!
That's all for today's review, see you next post!
