Hey, Faithfuls! Wow, it's been so long since I last updated, so thank you all for being patient. My most recent food venture was at this gorgeous restaurant called Wimbly Lu. They actually have two locations, but today I will be reviewing the one at Tyrwhitt Road. Wimbly Lu is a quaint cafe serving delicious coffee and food, but they have great mains as well, such as pasta. I've never heard of this cafe because the location is quite ulu, so a big thanks to my aunt who recommended this place.

The first thing that struck me when I entered the cafe was how beautiful the interior was. It actually looked a lot more atas from the inside. There are two sections of the cafe—the first section was darker and dimly lit, and the second was brighter with a glass ceiling, making it look like an outdoor cafe. We sat at the 'outdoor' part because it was 6pm and we wanted some natural light before the sun went down.

The first dish we got was the Truffle Forest Mushroom Pasta ($21.80) with egg tagliatelle, porcini, chanterelles, and parmesan. If you love truffles, you'll be a big fan. The pasta was absolutely creamy, and you could taste the distinct truffle taste. I would say this is quite an expensive pasta considering the portion which was not very large, but it was delicious.

We also had the Sakura Ebi Aglio E Olio (S$18.80) with spaghettini, tobiko, garlic, chilli, and white miso.

My cousin was not very hungry, so she order the Acai Bowl (S$14.20) with berries, mango, oat milk, granola, and fresh fruits.

It seemed like everyone was craving sweet dishes because the next one we got was the Berry Sure (S$14.80), which was pancakes with berries, maple syrup, and a scoop of ice cream. I really liked the pancakes because they were soft and savoury and dripping in sauce.

We also had the Burnt Cheesecake (S$7), which looked more like a tart than a cake, but was not any less delicious. I love desserts that are super gao and cheesy, and this did not disappoint.

Wimbly Lu is quite a nice place to dine in, and the dishes are good although they can be pricey. If you want to save money, you can consider eating somewhere else before coming here for desserts and drinks! The ambience is nice as well, so you can order a cuppa and chat all day—or all night!

Thanks for reading and see you next post!
