Daiyusan Sushi Bar @ Tai Seng: Affordable Omakase Review
There are four different kinds of omakase you can choose from Sashimi Mori (S$88), Yume (S$128), Kiri (S$168), and Ume (S$188).
The Sashimi Moriserves six kinds of sashimi, along with a miso soup and your choice of dessert. On my visit, I had a black sesame-flavoured ice cream.
The Yume serves appetiser, aged sashimi, seven pieces of sushi, chirashi, maki, miso soup, and dessert. The aged sashimi is quite interesting as the flavours are more concentrated, and the texture of the sashimi is softer.
The Kiri comes with appetisers, three kinds of sashimi, a steamed dish, one hot dish, seven pieces of sushi, miso soup, and a dessert.
Lastly, the Ume has appetisers, five kinds of sashimi, slow-cooked Wagyu, foie gras uni don, nine pieces of sushi, miso soup, and dessert.
The food here was actually quite good, and I thought the quality was decent and even comparable to some big sushi restaurants. If you don't mind travelling to Tai Seng, or if you're lucky enough to live in the area, it's worth giving their omakase a try.
Thanks for reading, and see you next post.
