Hey, Faithfuls! You know how much I love discovering new brands, and today I'm thrilled to share my review of BERLOOK, a fashion brand that prioritises sustainability and ethical practices. At BERLOOK, you can discover a range of sustainable boutique swimwear options, including swimsuits, bikinis, one-piece swimwear, and beachwear—all at an affordable price point.

Where is BERLOOK based, you ask? Well, it's from China, and I know people often have doubts about Chinese brands, but you'll be pleasantly surprised by this one, just like I was!

I was on the hunt for some summer vibes swimwear for my next staycation, and you know how blue is my favourite colour. So, I was looking for a blue bikini set, preferably with floral prints, to gain aura points, IYKWIM.

FYI, all of BERLOOK's swimwear is made from recycled materials, reducing their demand for limited natural resources and using less energy. A whopping 300K plastic bottles have been repurposed into their recycled swimwear. Impressive, right?

I found the Backless Floral Bikini Top (S$40) and High Cut Floral Bikini Bottom (S$38), and they’re both super cute. You can get them cheaper as a set (from S$70), and they’re also available in green. Sizing-wise, they range from XXS to XL, which is pretty size-inclusive!

The same floral pattern comes in different variations of the bikini, and honestly, I'm really tempted to get more.

I received their product really quickly, within 10 days of placing the order! Each piece is packaged in a reusable linen bag that can be used in everyday life instead of a paper box. It's pretty cute, NGL. I just use it to carry my swimwear and small things like my sunblock and sunglasses to the pool.

Let's talk about the BERLOOK bikini top first. I was expecting it to look cheap since it’s quite affordable, but wow, this really looks like I got it from an upscale store in Bali or something. It does run a little small for me, which aligns with what many reviewers have mentioned on their website regarding this product.

It’s a bit snug, but I’m a petite girl, so I don’t mind. It's tough to find bikini tops that fit nicely, so I really appreciate that this one fits like a glove. I have a smaller chest, but this top still makes it look flattering without being overly revealing.

The straps do get a little tangled here and there, and it takes a while to tie everything together, but the final look is worth the patience.

In terms of style, I love the flowery patterns. They’re stylish and classy and make you stand out without being too much. Sometimes, flower patterns can REALLY go wrong, but not this time!

Their swimwear is made with recycled nylon, which has durability and quick-drying advantages. Quick drying, FOR SURE. I used it in the morning and left it out to dry naturally, and it wasn't too wet when I used it in the late afternoon. I read on their website that BERLOOK mentions their swimwear is made with 10%-20% spandex, offering great stretch and recovery, and good strength. This won't really be an issue for me because my boobs won't stretch out the material, but I do think this is important for the bikini bottom!

Speaking of the bikini bottom—I REALLY LOVE IT. First, I love the waistband because it's tight enough and kind of "tucks" your belly fat in, so it looks like you have a smoother stomach. It is high-waisted and helps lift my butt too.

It is on the cheeky side, so if you didn’t shave your girl parts...well, if you intend to get this bikini bottom, I do suggest that you do.

When you enter the water, the BERLOOK bikini bottom does not become poofy or "blow up." It sticks to your skin nicely without being overly tight. Also, it’s not see-through, so I can enter the water without feeling worried.

Honestly, I’m pretty impressed by the quality. Sustainable, pretty, and affordable. Really, what's not to like? BRB because I'm heading off to check out their other swimwear designs!

Thanks for reading my BERLOOK swimwear review, and see you next post!
