Hey, Faithfuls! Sometimes, all you need is a little break from the routine, and that’s exactly what I did by booking a Day Use Room at Crowne Plaza Changi Airport. Located right at the heart of one of the world’s best airports, it’s the perfect spot to unwind without straying too far from the city.

I opted for an eight-hour day-use room (from 8am - 8pm), priced from S$260. There’s also a six-hour option priced from S$240. The rate includes complimentary Wi-Fi, which is great if you’re looking to get some work done or stream a few shows while you relax.

Though the official check-in is at 3pm, I arrived earlier, and luckily, my room was ready! I booked a Standard King Jewel Wing, and the total, after taxes and GST, came up to S$305.75. I used the Flow app to secure the booking, which was really convenient.

The room itself was quite cosy and had everything I needed for a peaceful day of R&R. It’s designed with a modern, minimalist vibe, featuring warm hues and smart tech. The king-sized bed was super inviting, and there’s a 40-inch TV with Miracast and Airplay, perfect for streaming. The built-in wardrobe runs floor to ceiling, keeping the room sleek and clutter-free. There's also a mini fridge.

There’s a little sofa right next to the bed, which became my go-to chill spot when I didn’t feel like lounging on the bed. The room also had coffee and tea packets (though I wish there was a coffee machine), along with water bottles. It’s simple, but it works if you’re just looking to recharge and relax.

The spacious work desk was a nice touch, especially with the Herman Miller ergonomic chair! As someone who sometimes mixes leisure with work, it was great to have a comfortable spot to get a few things done. Plus, there were USB charging ports conveniently placed so I could charge my phone and laptop without any hassle.

One of the standout features was the switchable smart glass privacy panel separating the bedroom from the bathroom. The bathtub is located right by the window, which is pretty unique. You can enjoy a nice soak while taking in the view—although mine was of the carpark exit, so not too scenic. I wasn’t sure if anyone could see me, so I played it safe and wore a swimsuit while in the tub.

The bathroom is well-stocked with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, as well as toothbrushes and toothpaste. They provided plenty of towels, and there was even a bathrobe, which added to the pampered experience.

If you’re into fitness, the hotel’s gym, AKA fitness centre on level 2, is open 24 hours. It’s fully equipped with cardio machines, free weights, kettlebells, and even a punch bag and yoga mats. The gym is clean, and they provide water, towels, and even an emergency kit, which is a nice touch.

I also couldn’t resist checking out the pool on level 3. It’s a lovely, tropical oasis where you can either take a dip or just chill on the poolside loungers with a drink in hand. It’s a great way to soak up some sun and unwind between activities.

Whether you’re in between flights, need a quiet space to work, or just want a midday escape, the Day Use Room at Crowne Plaza Changi Airport is a solid choice. It’s a bit of a splurge, but the convenience and luxury make it worth it for a short, refreshing getaway. If you’re looking to unwind without the hassle of an overnight stay, I’d definitely recommend checking it out!
