Hey, Faithfuls! YAY, another staycation review! For my most recent staycation, I decided to check out Carlton Hotel Singapore, a centrally located hotel in Singapore that offers comfort and convenience at an affordable price. I booked a Deluxe Room through Klook for S$110.78 per night, which was quite a steal considering the prime location—right across from Raffles City Shopping Centre and within walking distance of Bugis, Suntec City, and CHIJMES.

Check-in was at 3pm, and I reached the lobby about an hour later because I was running late. The lobby does look old-school, which is a stark difference from the hotel rooms. The check-in process was smooth and the staff were rather friendly.

My Deluxe Room featured a modern, minimalist design with neutral tones, equipped with a King-size Sealy Posturepedic mattress, ensuring a comfortable night’s sleep, along with down feather and microgel pillows.

A Smart LED TV with Chromecast was available for entertainment, and complimentary high-speed WiFi made it easy to stay connected. The WiFi here was pretty good, and I managed to get work done during my stay without internet hiccups.

One of the standout features of the room was this cool multi-purpose work desk, which doubled as a vanity table with a hidden mirror under the lid! It's positioned right in front of the bed, making it a practical touch for both work and getting ready. I really like it when hotel rooms are functional like this.

There was also an ergonomic armed chair, making it a great spot to sit and unwind.

Other in-room amenities included a standard digital safe, an iron and ironing board, and a selection of complimentary coffee and tea sachets with a hot water kettle. The universal electrical outlets were a convenient addition to charging devices, and there were quite a few of them.

Carlton Hotel Singapore's en-suite bathroom was the highlight of my stay. It had a sleek, contemporary design with a monochrome colour scheme, which made it super Instagrammable hehe.

It featured a separate bathtub and standing shower, which I personally appreciated. The shower came with both a handheld wand and a rain showerhead, though the water pressure for the rain shower wasn’t the strongest.

Since my room was located on the 23rd floor, the bathroom offered a view of the city skyline, even when you poop—thankfully, privacy wasn’t an issue due to the high floor placement.

The spacious vanity area had all the essentials, including towels, a hairdryer, and toiletries such as toothbrushes, a razor, and tissue paper. Overall, the bathroom felt well-designed and functional. Most importantly, the lighting was GREAT.

While Carlton Hotel isn’t known for spectacular views, my high-floor room provided a decent view of the cityscape, including Marina Bay Sands, the Singapore River, and other high-rise buildings. It was a pleasant sight, especially at night when the city lights illuminated the skyline. Also, it's sadistically relaxing to see other people hard at work while I'm relaxing in my amazing hotel room...

Carlton Hotel hals a variety of facilities too, including a well-equipped gym, an outdoor pool, and even an on-site barber and spa. The pool is relatively small given the hotel’s size, and there isn't really a view, but it provides a nice spot to cool off.

One of the biggest perks of staying at Carlton Hotel is defo its unbeatable location. It’s right across from Raffles City Shopping Centre and CHIJMES, providing easy access to shopping and dining options. The hotel is also within walking distance of major attractions like the Singapore Flyer and Clarke Quay. Public transportation is incredibly convenient, with City Hall MRT Station literally right there.

For its price point, I do feel Carlton Hotel Singapore offers great value with its central location, comfortable rooms, and decent amenities. While the decor leans towards a corporate feel, the functionality and convenience make up for it, and it's nice and cosy even for a solo or couple staycation. I’d recommend booking through Klook for competitive rates—definitely worth considering if you’re looking for a well-located staycation spot in Singapore!
