Hey, Faithfuls! I recently signed up for PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering's gym membership for two months because I was curious about what hotel gyms were like. Also, normally, you’d never catch me working out on a staycation, but for this hotel’s gym, I absolutely would.

One of the most iconic features of PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering is its Instagrammable infinity pool on the Wellness Floor. The pool area also boasts semi-private birdcage-style seating pods set amidst greenery, creating an oasis-like atmosphere perfect for lounging.

Sharing the fifth floor with the pool is the hotel’s fitness centre, which is impressively well-equipped. From treadmills with smart connectivity to stationary bicycles and strength machines, it’s got everything you need for a solid workout, but don't expect a full-on BFT experience.

There’s also a spacious free weights section, and the gym overlooks the pool, so you get a scenic Chinatown view while sweating it out.

The locker rooms are equally well-appointed, featuring a steam room, towels, hairdryers, slippers, toiletries, and even toothbrushes and toothpaste. After a workout, you can freshen up comfortably before heading out for the day.

BTW, gym members also enjoy complimentary access to Stay-Fit-Weekend wellness sessions, happening every Saturday for an hour from 9am. These sessions cover a variety of fitness programmes like mat Pilates, HIIT, and yoga!

Additionally, members get 20% off at Lime Restaurant and the poolside menu, plus a 20% discount on spa treatments at St. Gregory Spa with minimum spend. If you need a little extra pampering post-workout, this is a pretty great deal.

For those who aren’t fitness members, city guests can still enjoy access to the gym and wellness facilities for S$30 per session, while in-house hotel guests and fitness members can access it for free.
