Hey, Faithfuls! So important question: how productive do you think you’d be if you had a cat sleeping on your lap while you worked? Because honestly, that sounds like heaven to me. If you’re a cat lover but don’t have one of your own (or just want more cats in your life), you’re going to want to know about Meownistry of Meow, which is a cat co-working space in Jalan Klapa that also doubles as a foster home for rescued cats.

Here, you get to work, chill, and hang out with cats, and these furry residents are all up for adoption! They house up to 15 cats in the space at any one time, and they roam freely around the co-working areas.

The space is designed to cater to different working styles. There’s an open lounge with Wi-Fi and plenty of power points where you can work, chat with friends, and cuddle wandering kitties at the same time.

Passes start from $12 for one hour in the open lounge, with subsequent hours at S$8 per hour. If you’re planning to camp there for the whole day, the 1 Day Pass is S$38, which lets you stay from opening till closing. BTW, these passes include access to board games, packet drinks, lockers, and the pantry.

There are also add-ons if you’re feeling peckish or want to spoil the cats. Treats are sold in limited quantities to prevent overfeeding, and for the cats’ safety, visitors are only allowed to feed them food provided by Meownistry of Meow. So no sneaking in your own cat snacks!

In the kitchen, there’s a hot drinks station, free packet drinks, and even a halal microwave for your meal breaks.

One of the cutest moments to catch is the cats’ feeding time around 3pm. They’ll all gather at a specially designed feeding area with little cut-out holes for each cat, and it’s ridiculously adorable to watch.

If you’re looking for some entertainment beyond feline company, they’ve got you covered too. The private rooms come with game consoles (PS5 and Switch), and you can even watch Netflix in there. These rooms start from $30 per hour and are great if you need a quieter space for meetings or focused work.

Upstairs, almost half the floor is taken up by a massive private karaoke room, which fits up to 10 people. Rates start from $40 per hour on weekdays, making it a pretty fun option for hangs with friends. Do note that this is a strictly no-cat area, as loud music can be stressful and harmful to the cats.

There’s even a dedicated space for older or sick cats on this floor, functioning almost like a little rehab centre, which I found really heartwarming.

All in all, Meownistry of Meow is such a wholesome concept. Whether you’re there to get work done, de-stress with some feline therapy, or even meet your future fur baby, it’s a space that genuinely does good while offering a very unique co-working experience. Highly recommend dropping by if you’re a cat person or even if you just need a serotonin boost!

Thanks for reading and see you next post.
