My Lovely Stay At Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel!

by - January 12, 2020

If y'all read my previous post, you would know that I just got back from Bangkok a few days ago! It was a lovely trip, and I had a lovely stay as well.

Location is super, super important if you plan to go shopping in Bangkok. During my previous trip, we stayed a little out of the way which made it really inconvenient to travel here and there. This time, we booked a stay in the heart of Bangkok at Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel (BTS Chit Lom).

Renaissance Hotel is super convenient as it is located just near the "Ratchaprasong Skyline Walk", which is an elevated pathway connecting several mega shopping malls such as Platinum Fashion Mall, Central World, Gaysorn Village, Big C, and even BTS stations such as BTS Chit Lom and BTS Siam. This way, you don't need to walk under the scorching sun and squeeze with the traffic below!

The distance from Suvarnabhumi Airport to the hotel is 31 km, and it takes about 21 minutes via car and 45 minutes via the BTS.

I didn't know when I stayed there, but Renaissance Hotel is actually a 5-star hotel! It does look pretty grand from the pictures. The staff are really friendly and nice as well; they do go out of their way to help, and are very alert. During check in, we were greeted with refreshing welcome tea as well as some sweets at the counter. Apparently they change the flavours of the sweets everyday, so you can just pop by the counter every day to try out a new one!
Our room was beautiful - we had a great view from our Twin Deluxe Guest Room, all the amenities we needed, and the bathroom was lovely. Just look at the pictures!
The bathroom was my favorite part of the hotel room. In fact the walls are transparent - which is great if that is your kink - but for those of you who'd want to shower in privacy, you'll be glad to know that there's a button that you can push for roller blinds. The bathroom also has a rain shower!
Here are some other pictures of the bathroom.
The room also has glass bottled water (three cheers for going green!), shoe-shine services, an alarm clock, safe, and an ironing board. If you're Singaporean/ Malaysian, you probably wont need a travel . adapter in this hotel as they have Type G sockets.
Coffee and tea lovers can make their favorite drinks too!
I loved that the room was squeaky clean and well maintained as well. Renaisaance Hotel also has a rooftop pool, spa, and sauna for your relaxation.
There's also a bar at the lobby, and a gym for you to burn all the calories courtesy of your favorite Thai foods!
We had a buffet breakfast every morning (you'll need to pay extra for this) at their restaurant "Flavors". Honestly, the breakfast was pretty meh and I'd rate it a 6/10. Taste wise, it was pretty mediocre, but I liked how there was a large spread of food ranging from Thai to Western and Japanese. Loved how we got free flow Thai Milk Tea though!
I loved my stay at the Renaissance Bangok Ratchaprasong Hotel, and for about S$150/ night the service and quality of stay was exquisite! The location was also perfect for shoppers, and since it was in the heart of Bangkok, relatively near to everywhere else. Would happily give this place a 10/10, and can't wait to come back again!
