Hey friends! I've been on a lot of staycations and it's safe to say that these luxuries are burning a hole in my wallet. But because my boyfriend and I can't just stop going for staycations, we decided to continue going for staycations but save through amazing deals.

HoteLux

So about three months ago he came across HoteLux, which was this platform with great staycation deals. We're talking about 1-for-1 deals, free third nights, late check-out, free breakfast, and all that good stuff. We browsed through the list of hotels such as Shangri-La Singapore, Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore, and W Sentosa Cove... and eventually set our minds on The Westin Singapore!

The deal we got at The Westin Singapore was a 'buy two night, get the third night free' kind of deal on weeekdays. It also came with free breakfast every morning, US$100 worth of dining and spa credits, early check-in and late check-out (subject to availability), and a room upgrade (subject to availability). And guess the total? Only S$800.36 net! We immediately clicked 'book'!

I know it sounds too good to be true right? So today I'm going to share with y'all my staycation experience at The Westin Singapore, to show you that good things don't always need to come at the expense of lots of money.

The Westin Singapore staycation x HoteLux

Our staycation was on a weekday, starting on Monday and ending on Thursday.

Perk one: the upgrade

We got the early check-in at 12pm and headed to The Westin's beautiful lobby perched on level 32. The view from here was already amazing, so we were very excited. The staff help us through the check-in process and told us that we got a free upgrade to the next tier - which was a Junior Suite! We happily went up to level 40 which was where our suite was located and found that it was tucked away in a nice, private, cosy corner.

Take a look at our gorgeous suite! Designed in earthy shades of cream and brown, the modern-looking Junior Suite was spacious at 66sqm/710sqft, with floor-to-ceiling windows which made it look even larger. Entering the suite we first saw a long corridor with a guest restroom. Walking on would lead us to the living room with a large sofa, HD TV, and a work area - with a built-in desk, ergonomic desk chair, and WiFi. I found the WiFi here to be pretty fast too!

The living room was also packed with complimentary snacks for us, and a small cake since we were celebrating 1,000 days together! I was really glad to see the Nespresso machine too.

Entering our bedroom, we saw this large king bed with a plethora of pillows, and there was even a bedside control panel that allowed us to adjust the room's lighting. From our bedroom, we could see Singapore's bustling financial district! When the curtains are drawn, you can actually see across into the officve building across, so be sure that you're not walking around butt naked! I had to scream at my boyfriend multiple times to keep his pants up.

Now for the main event - the marble bathroom. This opulent bathroom was one of the main reasons why we wanted to stay at The Westin. The bathtub comes with a view, and there's a spacious vanity and floating basin equipped with a TV in the mirror. I could soak in this bathtub all day.

Perk two: the facilities

Another reason why we loved The Westin Singapore was because of the facilities. First, there's this gorgeous outdoor infinity pool perched on level 35 which gives you views of Singapore's south coast. There are even submerged sunbeds so you can cool your body in the waters while tanning. What atas abomination is this?!

And there's the fitness studio, which is one of the most beautiful hotel gyms I've seen. It has everything from treadmills, cross trainers, stationary bicycles, and strength training machines. You can enjoy looking at the views of Sentosa Island or the former Tanjong Pagar Port, or just watch the news from the screen built into your cardio equipment.

Saving the best for last - the Heavenly Spa by Westin. Here you can spend the whole day in the whirlpool (which is basically this hot spring jacuzzi), the saunas, or inner relaxation lounge. The spa facilities are separated by male and female and you'll need to make an advance booking since there's a limited capacity of five persons at a time. However, the whole time we were there, I had the whole place to myself!

Perk three: free breakfast

Breakfast timings came in two slots, one at 6.30am and another at 9.30am. It was held at Seasonal Tastes, and came in an a la carte buffet style. The food was really, really good and I highly recommend the Eggs Benedict!

Perk four: free US$100 dining credits

On our second night, we headed to Cook & Brew, the hotel restaurant on level 33 offering views of Marina Bay. We ordered pasta, burger, two starters and cake for dessert, totaling to about S$112! So essentially, we had a free meal!

Great deals with HoteLux

Was booking this staycation with HoteLux worth the money? I think absolutely YES!

This was one of the most enjoyable staycations I had because the deal was so good. We got an upgrade, a free dinner, free breakfast every day, and enjoyed great facilities! If you really want to get the best bang for your buck, booking with HoteLux would be a smart thing to do.

Till then, see you next post!
