My boyfriend and I visited TIGRESS on a weekday, so it was relatively empty. We were warmly welcomed and ushered to our tables. Stepping in, it felt like you were entering a jungle cafe because of the surrounding greenery and wooden tables and chairs. Everything was so picture-worthy and I can't even blame the two girls who intruded on our personal space for 15 minutes in the name of Instagram.
I also found it interesting that there were billiard tables concealed behind these aesthetic wooden dividers. I can't play billiards for nuts but feel free to try your hand at them when you visit!
TIGRESS is still in its soft launch stages so their menu is also a soft opening menu. I've heard that their burgers are great, so we got the Bulgogi Burger ($26) with fries and mac & cheese as sides. Let me tell you - the burger was delicious. The patty was thick and juicy, and you could distinctively taste the bulgogi. The caramelised onions and mayo added extra sweetness as well. Oh, and the sauce - I swear I could taste a bit of Japanese sesame dressing which was super addictive.
I liked the mac and cheese, and although it was not as cheesy as I would have liked, it was still very flavourful. While I have a thing for soggy fries, TIGRESS' crispy fries easily won me over as they were so simple but satisfying.
We also ordered Truffle Fries (S$12), not knowing that it would come in such a gigantic portion. The truffle was distinct and I loved dipping it in the burger's sesame dressing.

For drinks, I had the French Earl Grey (S$6) which came served in a pot. It even came with a little biscuit. The earl grey was the perfect palate-cleanser and something I definitely needed after gobbling down all those fries.
My boyfriend got himself the Earl Grey Milk (S$7) - a refreshing and smooth latte.
I can see TIGRESS becoming a very popular place once word gets around, so do come by and try their food before they blow up. They will definitely be adding more dishes to the menu so I can't wait to come back and try them as well. I also have to say that the burger was really worth it and such a steal for the price of S$26 - generous portions always deserve a special mention because it's something so hard to come by in Singapore, so thank you chefs at TIGRESS!
