Mazzo Restaurant & Bar @ Club St: Italian Food Review
Out of the four of us, I was the only one really craving pasta, so we got a pizza and two kinds of pasta to share. My pizza was the Pepperoni (S$26) - topped with a generous amount of mozzarella and pepperoni salami, and although the crust was thicker than I would have liked, it was still very crispy. The pizza was 12" so it was just right for the four of us to share.
The first pasta was a Carbonara (S$26) with fresh pasta tagliolini, bacon, and cream. I loved the pasta, which the staff told us was homemade. It was quite chewy and the bacon bits added hints of saltiness to the creamy dish.
The next pasta was the Crab Meat (S$29) with fresh pasta tagliolini and tomato basil. The crab meat was sweet which went great with the tanginess of the sauce.
We also ordered a Mushroom Risotto (S$26) with truffle oil and walnuts. The rice was chewy (in a good way) and it tasted exactly how you'd imagine a cheesy, truffle risotto to taste like. It was filling too!

My friends and I were really glad that we stumbled upon this hidden gem. Food was delicious with portions that fit the price we paid for and the service was great - dishes were served quickly and the staff were friendly too. We had high expectations when we first came, and we're glad to say that Mazzo Restaurant & Bar managed to exceed them.
