Hey, Faithfuls! Graduation season is among us and I'm finally graduating from university. While the uni commencement ceremonies only start in July, my boyfriend and I wanted to get some professional shots of us in our graduation gowns. We've been to those self-photo studios before for a casual couple photoshoot and had a lot of fun, so when we were invited down by PIXSLUT to check out their studio and take some pictures, I was very excited.

PIXSLUT is located at Peace Centre near Dhoby Gaut and Bras Basah. We made our appointment on a weekday afternoon because we hoped that there would be fewer people and a shorter waiting time. Upon climbing up the short flight of stairs to the second floor of Peace Centre, I immediately noticed the PIXSLUT studio. The studio had a clean, and simple white aesthetic.

The co-founder, Delonix, greeted us at the counter and welcomed us to the studio. Before starting the shoot, we went into one of the booths to put on our gowns, and make sure our hair looked alright - and then it was showtime!

There is only one photo booth in the studio. Since there was only one booth, it was spacious and had ample room for us to roam about and strike our poses.

If you're an awkward poser like me, you'll be happy to know that there are many props to help you achieve that IG-worthy shot. We had a lot of fun playing around with the props that were available, like sunglasses, halo headbands, angel wings, and huge squishy hammers.

We had 20 minutes to take all the photos we wanted, and after that, we left the booth to go and pick the photos to be printed.

Prices start at S$30 for a 20-minute session for two pax, and you will receive two standard prints, two digital files, and a self timelapse. For an additional S$10, you will be able to receive all post-processed photos, meaning all the photos you took throughout the shoot.

Our prints were given to us on the spot, and they looked amazing! The photo quality was clear and sharp, and it really looked like we had a great time.

Our digital photos were emailed to us just two days later, and we absolutely love how they turned out.
