Hey there, Faithfuls! Y'all know I'm a spin gurlie, and I recently did a review on Ally Singapore. Before Ally, I was actually a frequent spinner at Absolute Cycle. A lot of my friends have been asking me about my experience there, so I thought I would do a review on it!

Located conveniently at Millenia Walk and accessible via Promenade MRT Station, Absolute Cycle boasts a network of studios across the island, with additional locations at Somerset, Katong, and Buona Vista. While some spots offer pilates classes, I usually just go for their spin sessions.

If you buy their spin packages, a spin class here will average out to about S$25 per class. You can also get the classes for cheaper by buying them from other riders. I usually get my classes from Telegram groups such as ClasspasSG Swappers. Here, you can get classes for as low as S$20.

As you step into the Millenia Walk studio, you're greeted by the friendly faces at the counter who help you get all set up, from registering your bike of choice to snagging the perfect shoe size. If you're new to the scene, fret not; the staff is always ready to lend a helping hand.

Do note that Absolute Cycle doesn't mess around when it comes to latecomers, so be sure to arrive on time, if not your spot will go to the next person on the waiting list.

The space may not be sprawling, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in energy! During peak hours, the waiting area can get a tad snug, especially when people gather for back-to-back classes. Pro tip: Arrive early to secure your spot and avoid any awkward standing around.

I prefer waiting around in the female locker room, which is equipped with seats, fitting rooms, and all the shower essentials. Lockers are plentiful, so stashing your stuff is a breeze. Just remember to lock up tight to keep your barang barang safe!

The showers here may not rival Ally's luxe standards, but they get the job done. Plus, I like whatever shampoo brand they're using. The studio has ample hairdryers too. My only gripe is that the shower cubicle walls and floors get slimy sometimes, which is kinda ew.

I've pedalled my heart out at Absolute Cycle for nearly two years now. While instructors can be hit or miss, there's a certain standard across the board. There's definitely something or someone for every taste and tempo, and there's a diverse music selection. They have frequent themed rides too, especially during the festive season. There's a plethora of instructors to choose from, so it's really up to your personal tastes and preferences.

If I may complain, it's probably that the speakers here often have issues, and the music may get cut off once in a while. Sometimes the aircon doesn't work properly and it can get hot AF, but then again this doesn't happen too often. The quality of bikes are okay, and while some are squeaky, they still do the job.

While Ally is still my go-to spin studio, Absolute Cycle strikes the perfect balance between affordability and instructor prowess. So if you're in the market for a spin studio that delivers the goods without breaking the bank, give Absolute Cycle a try!

Thanks for reading and see you next post~
