Hey, Faithfuls! If you’re craving authentic NYC-style pizza, look no further than Bad Habits Provision, a hidden pizzeria in River Valley. Just a short walk from Fort Canning MRT Station, this casual spot exudes a New York street vibe, with alfresco seating right by a quiet alley.

Perfect for a late-night bite, Bad Habits stays open till midnight, catering to both the pre and post-drink crowd.

The pizzas here feature a thin, crisp crust with a satisfying char, thanks to a dough that undergoes a lengthy fermentation process—24 hours in bulk, followed by 48 hours of individual fermentation. Their lean menu offers four classic options: Margherita (S$7), Salami (S$8), Triple Cheese (S$8), and Garlic Mushroom (S$7), with an additional rotating special. You can order a whole pizza or grab a slice, served on paper like an authentic NYC joint.

On my visit to Bad Habits, I tried the Margherita and Triple Cheese pizzas. The Margherita was a true classic—reminiscent of New York’s finest slices. The base was thin but sturdy, while the crust had a lovely, thick edge. Each bite was saucy, indulgent, and full of flavour, without being overly greasy.

The Triple Cheese pizza was everything I hoped for—packed with cheese, yet not overwhelming. It had a rich, savoury flavour that was perfectly balanced and satisfying.

We also tried the Garlic Mushroom pizza, which quickly became a personal favourite. The mix of juicy mushrooms and crispy kale created a deliciously earthy combination of flavors, with a great contrast in texture. If you love kale, you'll love this pizza.

Bad Habits also offers sides, and we went for the Fried Chicken (S$14). This dish was a bit pricier than two slices of pizza, but it was worth it. The chicken cutlet was crispy and came topped with crème fraîche and a drizzle of maple syrup, giving it a creamy, slightly tangy, and sweet finish that paired wonderfully with the spring onions.

Two of us, both big eaters, left feeling full and satisfied. If you're craving NYC-style pizza, this spot is a must-visit. They don’t take reservations, so I recommend coming early or around 9:30pm to beat the crowd—personally, I prefer the later vibe when it’s quieter and more relaxed. This will defo be my next bad habit...
