Hey, Faithfuls! Recently, I had the pleasure of experiencing the Local-Inspired Afternoon Tea at Pacific Emporium. As someone who loves both traditional high tea and Southeast Asian flavours, this was a delightful way to blend the two worlds. If you’re a fan of Singapore’s iconic dishes and have a soft spot for afternoon tea, this one’s for you!

Pacific Emporium's lounge features seating pods that seem to float gracefully above the water. Each pod offers a cosy, private retreat, perfect for enjoying all-day dining!

This afternoon tea runs daily with two seatings: 1pm to 3pm for the first and 4pm to 6pm for the second. At S$68++ per person on weekdays and S$78++ on weekends, it’s a little splurge but a worthwhile one. Plus, your tea experience comes complete with a pot of TWG tea or a cup of Lavazza coffee, so there’s something to satisfy every caffeine lover.

For the savoury bites, you’ll get to try unique creations like Singapore Chilli Crab Meat In Egg Custard With Mini Bun (this one was my personal favourite—it felt like the chilli crab was made elegant!).

There’s also the Salted Egg Yolk Yam Puff from Hai Tien Lo, which was an absolute treat for salted egg fans. Another standout was the Penang Crispy Pork Lobak With Five Spices Wrapped In Bean Curd Skin. This was crispy, fragrant, and full of flavour!

Now, onto the sweets. The Mango Pomelo Sable and Coconut Bandung With Chendol French Pastry were both as delicious as they were Instagrammable. The sweetness was just right and balanced with a local flair. I was particularly impressed by how they managed to give a French pastry a chendol twist.

If you go on the weekend, Pacific Emporium has five live stations serving freshly made dishes, including Prawn Noodle Soup With Fresh Tiger Prawn, Penang Tangy Assam Laksa, and Wok Hei Char Kway Teow With Pacific Crab Meat.

And, of course, for those who want a little extra indulgence, there’s the option to add a glass of champagne to your afternoon.
