Vicbakery Review: Cottagecore Cafe With Jellycat Desserts @ One-North

Hey, Faithfuls! I usually hang out at cafes in the East, while my bestie is a true Westie. So, for our cafe date, we compromised and headed to the West—to Vicbakery!

This cosy cafe is known for its IG-worthy bakes and cottagecore interior. Nestled in the quiet neighbourhood of One-North, it feels tucked away from the hustle and bustle, though the crowds definitely still find their way here, thanks to TikTok.

When we visited on a weekend afternoon, the cafe was already packed AF. We were lucky to get a seat after just a 15-minute wait. Inside, we were surrounded by cottagecore-inspired decor, rattan furniture, vintage kitchenware, dried flowers, and girls who brought along their reluctant boyfriends.

The cafe is popular for their Jellycat Mochi (S$7.90). These daifuku-inspired desserts come in four flavours. I tried the orange one, which leaned more towards a creamy taste than a fruity one, with only a mild hint of orange flavour.

Vicbakery’s Macarons (S$5.90) are generously filled with fresh cream stuffed between two thick shells. I do recommend getting one of 'em, and they're bigger than regular macarons!

For drinks, we had the Lavender Lychee (S$6) and this cute cotton candy drink. Both were syrup-based and were nothing really special, but in the afternoon heat, they were refreshing enough.

Vicbakery is a lovely spot for girls' dates, with its pretty baked goods and charming interior. The desserts were the highlight for me, and I’d happily return if I happen to be in the West again!

Thanks for reading, and see you next post.
