Hey, Faithfuls! If you’ve walked down Orchard Road recently, you might have spotted a cute little kiosk called Honey Bear. It’s fairly new, and honestly, I only checked it out because the bright signage and soft serve machines were practically calling my name. Turns out it’s a DIY soft-serve spot where you can build your own cup from scratch.

Honey Bear currently has four self-churning flavours: Yoghurt, Hokkaido Matcha, Sea Salt Coconut, and Japanese White Peach. I love that they didn’t go for the usual vanilla–chocolate combo; everything here feels a bit more playful iykwim. You start by choosing your cup size: Small for S$3, Regular for S$5, or Large for $8.

Then comes the toppings section, and this is where things get MESSY but kinda fun. There are more than 20 free-flow toppings, from crunchy bits to gummy candies to cereal and chocolate drizzle. If you’re indecisive like me, prepare to spend a solid minute (or three) just staring at everything and trying not to overload your cup. But honestly, it’s impossible not to.

If you’re going big and choosing the Large size, there’s a cute little bonus: a cotton candy station. Here, the staff will spin a fluffy pink cloud of candy floss right on the spot and crown your soft serve with it. It’s very extra, very Instagrammable, and very Orchard Road.

Of course, if you want to keep things simple, they also offer a classic Soft Serve Cone for just S$1.50. You can grab the matcha one, and it's surprisingly good for the price.

Honey Bear is one of those places that’s easy to overlook, but once you try it, you’ll probably find yourself coming back whenever you’re in town. If you’re into customisable desserts or just want a cute treat while shopping, it’s definitely worth a stop!
